My response to that VX30 guy's response (posted by Matt, above): From: "Jonathan Miller" jon_at_vx30_dot_com Subject: Re: VX30... Date: Wed, 11 May 2005 09:50:29 -1000 To: "Matt" >Matt- MXS: First to answer your question - yes you can send signal over HTTPS. MXS: Two - re: Drunkenblog - He used information he collected from a "Unix Specialist" - I invite you to look at this information I've collected about said specialist: Me: I'm not the only analyst on this - there's plenty more haha ;) - but I guess that they view me as a very shady figure lol MXS: Ryan (aka Event Horizon) is the "Unix Specialist" that was credited with the analysis of the VX30 Encoding Software in the post by Drunkenblog.com. Going through Ryan's web site and job resume I found that he is unqualified to form this kind of analysis. Me: Ok... I'm unqualified to form that kind of analysis? But I formed it lol. I would love to hear them explain how I'm unqualified. If you look at my resume, it supports my position completely. So me, a person who administrates Windows, Linux, xBSD, Solaris, IRIX, MacOS, OSF, etc and who is not just very skilled in most of the higher end uses of computing, but also has other talents at about the same level doesn't have the qualification to perform simplistic executable image extractions from running processes? (these are actually opinions of others about me - I don't realy want to brag, because I don't really consider myself a genius or anything; that would just be stupid and idiotic) MXS: >In his resume he states that he is currently unemployed and in fact he has never held a paying position with any company for longer then six months. Furthermore he doesn't appear to have the kind of education required to form this kind of analysis (High School some Junior College classes). Me: Never held a paying position for longer than six months?! Did they even read it? I worked for Argonne National Laboratory outside of Chicago for a about 18 months lol. 6 < 18. So now MXS is resorting to character assassination. Haha - "some junior college classes". Yeah - going to a community college for 3 years and then spending a year at Taylor University is the equivalent of "some junior college classes". Please. Not only have they done the worst job in hiding their theft (they never even stripped the strings from one program lol - ever!), but now they show that they can't even read a resume properly. I would seriously question their qualifications to form this kind of viewpoint of me ;) VX30: Other strange stuff about Ryan - he hosts a web ME: ooh... strange... I'm finally Strange(tm)! yay!. I always wanted to be strange. VX30: site dedicated to a science fiction character (http://www.tliquest.net/ladyreniel/), he also Me: Um.. yeah. I don't "host a site dedicated to a science fiction character". This again proves that they just quickly skim things and jump to really strange conclusions. I didn't make that site. I operate a webserver, and host multiple websites for many different individuals, all for free. That site was just a girl's website that I've hosted for about 3-4 years now. Isn't that just the strangest thing ever? wow... I must be insane or something - hosting a website. MXS: appears to be in the process of forming his own ministry Me: appears to be? lol - they like to assume things before even thinking about it first. The site they mention in the next section is simply a knowledge archive that was established in 2002, and is actually used by individuals and universities around the world (I mirrored some resource sites a while back, which don't exist anymore). I don't even agree with the majority of stuff on my own site - I just host it there for comparitive study. So now having an open mind is bad? Next they'll probably demonize my open-source Skyscraper project because it is licensed under the GPL. Bad bad GPL. lol MXS: (http://ministries.tliquest.net/theology/) and is a self proclaimed "Philosophical Theorist". One of the key components of his theology is discrediting Evolution. Me: Wow - that has sooooo much to do with VX30, doesn't it? lol. Evolution and VX30 must be the same topic now or something. Like I said, they just revert to character assassination. The funny thing about them saying "discrediting Evolution" is that I was actually challenging the atheistic worldview, which I took the entire first section of that document to explain (and of course every one who has commented on that document has no recollection of those statements lol). How dare I question the supposed randomness of the existence of life, when even random numbers themselves don't even exist (in computer science, every programmer is supposed to understand pseudorandom number seeding - which proves that nothing can be truly and purely random). How dare I formulate such a challenge! Brave New World for you ;) MXS: Here is an interesting quote from one of his "doctrines" - "First of all, I go a non-denominational Christian church, LaGrange Bible Church, which takes all its teachings directly from the Bible. I am against Me: Wonderful. Now you have to bring my private life into this mess. I'm really getting sick and tired of people like this simply smearing me instead of actually TALKING TO ME lol. Why debate at all? Why not just smear the person and discredit them beyond belief? That'll shut them up. It won't shut me up though. I don't care. MXS: all false teachings such as Mormonism, Catholicism, Puritanism, etc." Me: That's a fairly extreme stretch of my own beliefs; I would basically say that all of that is out of context, and requires more explanation, but it's not even relevent in any way to VX30. What do my own religious beliefs have to do with VX30? I might as well assume that the VX30 guy who wrote that is an atheist, and I could just sit here and smear him back and forth all day, claiming that his atheistic beliefs are somehow the cause of all of MXS's evils. But I don't do that. I don't smear and character assassinate people. I discuss with them, not bash them. I am more interested in their viewpoints than my own (I can't stress that enough). But those who lash out at me and refuse to discuss or even communicate with me on these issues (which doesn't make any sense - why bash me and then ignore me? entirely one-sided) is a complete and utter a**hole. I'm not the one stealing almost a dozen open-source projects - and I'm being painted as the weird and evil one lol, which is especially funny considering that I have my own multiple open-source projects, and want to defend other projects just as I would with my own. MXS (i think - is this from them? correct me if I'm wrong): Ryan's Home Page - Home Page http://www.tliquest.net/darkalley/ Me: That's not even my home page lol. My home page is here: http://www.tliquest.net/ryan That site listed is my music site - i'm an independent recording artist too. Doesn't that have a lot to do with VX30? Wow. VX30 must be a music program or something lol. "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you..." - yep that must be the core of my insane thinking right there lol. That's Matthew 7:12 aka the Golden Rule. So if you put that verse into context with MXS's actions of theft, you end up with them actually wanting their software to be stolen; so it would be "steal code of others, just like you would want them to steal code from you". Next they'll probably come out with a new operating system, which is actually just a copy of the Linux kernel, dumped into a nice $1000/copy package. Please. -eventhorizon
